One Love Manchester event will go ahead following London Bridge attack

Breaking, News, Pop

4th June 2017

Ariana Grande’s manager, Scooter Braun, has confirmed that the One Love event held in memory of the victims of the Manchester terror attack two weeks ago, will still take place this evening. He said that the show will go on “with greater purpose” after the terrorist attack last night in London which left 7 dead and 48 injured.

In an Instagram post this morning he said “After the events last night in London, and those in Manchester just two weeks ago, we feel a sense of responsibility to honor those lost, injured, and affected. We plan to honor them with courage, bravery, and defiance in the face of fear. Today’s One Love Manchester benefit concert will not only continue, but will do so with greater purpose. We must not be afraid, and in tribute to all those affected here and around the world, we will bring our voices together and sing loudly. I am pleased to say we have the full support of Greater Manchester police and the government and are assured the safety of all those attending is the highest priority. All artists involved have been unwavering in their support this morning and are determined to carry on with the show. We ask the strong city of Manchester and the world to join us in making the statement that hatred and fear will never win. Today we stand together. Thank you.”

Music Manager Scooter Braun weighs in on US gun control

Breaking, Business, Editors Choice, News

13th June 2016

Scooter Braun, manager to some of the biggest artists in the music industry, has just joined the conversation on gun control in the US. He gave his thoughts via an Instagram post featuring an image with the text ‘WE CAN DO MORE’ – this is following the Orlando night club shooting this week, the deadliest shooting in US history which left 50 people dead and 53 injured.

He said:

“Last night I was thinking about our nation…my son…this world…what I am contributing to it.. And I posted this…and today I post it again. I’m not asking Americans to lose rights..I’m not asking everyone to turn in their guns. I’m asking my fellow Americans to acknowledge we need a system to protect our future and the freedoms we claim to hold so dear.”

“We need gun control laws to add to our freedoms not take away. We need to make the right decisions for the next generation. I have so much more to say but for now all I will say is how many more speeches and tragedies will it take? We only get a certain amount of time on this earth and our responsibility is to our kids.”

“How can we look our sons and daughters in the eye with all we have now seen and not try? Not try to better this world for THEM!? We are better than this. God bless America.. But God isn’t going to change this… He gave us free choice. Let’s choose to make a difference.”

Justin Bieber and Ed Sheeran Team Up for “Love Yourself”

News

9th November 2015

It’s safe to say Justin Bieber is well on his way to a full fledged comeback, after releasing his smash singles “What Do Mean” and “Sorry”.

Just when you think he can’t outdo himself, the Biebs releases “Love Yourself” with the help of Ed Sheeran. The two songbirds harmonize for a pleasant, sweet and slow song. The song is both acoustic and intimate, and tugs on one’s heartstrings.

With a cheerful melody, the track reminds us that love can really shatter you to the core, and that narcissism is not the way to make a relationship work.

The song pointedly addresses how girls use Bieber for his fame, as Bieber and Sheeran chime in together for the chorus:

Aww
